About the Authors
Born shortly after World War II, both Randy Faulk and Jeanne Marie Rennecker-Faulk are two of the many "Baby Boomers" born to returning servicemen.
After their first meeting in the 7th grade in San Antonio, and after becoming friends in the 10th grade, Randy and Jeanne met again after nearly twenty-seven years, when he received a Christmas card and a three page letter from some girl by the name of Jeanne M. Johnson.
They married late in life, just four days before Randy's forty-sixth birthday. They live in San Antonio and raise paraleets and other birds, while Randy concentrates on writing more books, one of which is The BOOK of Our BIRDS.
|
Beginning with Jeanne's "Buddy," a dark gray Parakeet, which Jeanne bought for $9.00 at a local Wal-Mart in San Antonio in 1987, Jeanne and Randy have bought, rescued, and nurtured over 125 birds todate. Some of the many stories of our birds appear in The Book of Our Birds, which will come out in E-Book form, as well as in Paperback and Hard Bound.
He gives lectures on a life purpose and establishing realistic goals to achieve a life purpose, to build and to increase fatih and to overcome life's many obstacles. He enjoys speaking on and writng about motivational topics designed to soften the heart, to touch the soul and to awaken and to revitalize the mind.
Led by the SPIRIT is a collection of such motivational stories and insights, designed to soften the heart, to touch the soul and to awaken and revitalize the mind... |

DEVIL at my Doorstep Having been in and out of a Children's Shelter, a Foster Home, and a Children's Home, from the age of 8 to 16 years of age, Randy Faulk knows firsthand what it means to be alone and unwanted, and having to fight to stay alive! His many beatings and a Thanksgiving dinner of bread and water only serve to further prove his point.
The oldest of six children, Randy spent 35 years trying to find his two younger brothers and three younger sisters whom The State of Texas took out of his dysfunctional family and put up for adoption.
He describes his anger and frustration caused by his encountering one obstacle after another in his relentless search for his siblings.
Learing a series of life lessons by experience and astute observation, as a lone crusader, he does what the bureaucrats in The State of Texas said could not be done!

Led by the SPIRIT
In the sequel to DEVIL at my Doorstep, the author focuses on events from early 1993 until the present. His focus has completely changed from his earlier hard-nosed lessons, to more insightful ones, inspired by the whisperings of the Sprit.
He explains how Jeanne unexpectedly came back into his life after almost twenty-seven years. He describes his conversion to the Gospel, and Jeanne's conversion to the Church.
He ties up a lot of loose ends which were created earlier. Beginning with the premise that we first learn, then believe, and then know and understand, he directs us to become what we were meant to become.
This is a motivational book which emphasizes finding a purpose in life and then establishing a set of realistic goals to achieve that purpose, to build and to increase faith and to overcome life's obstacles.
