Self Improvement-Attitude is Everthing!

INDEX TO "Self Improvement"

Before You Can Successfully Lead Others, You Must FIRST Lead Yourself.

Constantly improving personally is vital in a leadership position.*

  • You can only lead people as far as you have been yourself.
  • A Leader must always have something new to "bring to the table".
  • The area that most people spend the least amount of time on, but
    is the most important area to improve is their own thinking.
  • You are and become what you think about!**
  • You're a product of your own self-imposed mental environment.
  • It isn't the money you make;
  • It's the person you become in the process.

Remember: "ATTITUDE IS EVERYTHING!"

I recommend the following short list of books, which I have read and have thoroughly enjoyed. These books, in the paper back editions are inexpensive and can be read over and over again.

  • Buy at least one of these books every month.
  • Spend the entire month reading each book, with the following idea in mind.
  • If the book is short, like How to Win Friends and Influence People,
    you can and should read it through more than once during the month.
  • If the book is longer and more involved, like Rich Dad Poor Dad, you may have to spend longer than a month to get through it.
  • Take notes that you can act upon to improve yourself.
  • Keep the notes handy so that you can read them at least once daily.

Here is the list of my favorites, in the order in which I have read them. This is the order in which I would recommend that you read them. -The Editor.

1.) The Greatest Salesman in the World by Og Mandino (This book may
     be out of print, so you may have to search discount book stores,
     like "Half Price Books".
2.) How to Win Friends and Influence People by Dale Carnegie
3.) Think and Grow Rich by Napoleon Hill
4.) The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People by Steven R. Covey
5.) Rich Dad Poor Dad by Robert Kiyosaki
6.) Awaken the Giant Within by Anthony Robbins

*Reprinted from an article by "Primerica Financial Services".
**Also reprinted from the same article. I have also written a "Foreword" to my two books, which appears on this web site and in which I
   have written the following:

PURE KNOWLEDGE is the ENLIGHTENMENT OF THE SOUL.

  • It is, first, what we learn;
  • it is, then, what we believe;
  • it is, next, what we know and understand;
  • It is, finally, to become what we can and were meant to become.

It may surprise you to know that Steven R. Covey is also "Mormon" as I am. If you would like to learn more about our church, The Church of JESUS CHRIST of Latter-Day Saints, I  welcome you to read the "Foreword" to my two books. You can find my "Foreword" in the LDS Section at the bottom of my web site. I consider our church to be the "ultimate success" in Self-Improvement. -The Editor
